Sponge Rubber
At Chambers Gasket, we specialize in custom rubber gaskets for the OEM market.
One area of expertise is our ability to fabricate custom rubber gaskets to any 2D shape. All of our products are cut using precision die cutting and water jet cutting, which improves tooling costs and turnaround time. Our gaskets can be made to virtually any specifications, with materials such as sponge, solid rubber, neoprene, EPDM, Nitrile, Fluoroelastomer, and Silicon. These materials are sourced from some of America’s top rubber manufacturers.
This allows us to fabricate gaskets for a wide range of applications. For example, neoprene is used for its natural chemical resistance to oil and other corrosive materials, while ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) is used due to its resistance to weather, and nitrile is ideal for its resistance to oils and gasoline. Our trained techs can also fabricate rubber gaskets from other commercially available materials including fluoroelastomer and silicon. Our precision equipment allows us to create products with an inner diameter range from .031 in to 59.75 in, and an outer diameter up to 60 in, and all to tightest tolerances of ±0.005 in. These gaskets feature a pressure range from 600 to 1,500 lb./in and firmness with a durometer range from 10 Shore A to 90 Shore A.
The ability to follow various FDA grades makes our services ideal for applications in the food and beverage industry. Our facility is ISO 9001: 2008 certified and can handle runs from one piece to one million with an average lead time of two weeks.
